More Exciting News x 2!

Sooo, the last month has just been full of great opportunities for me! And it keeps getting better! I have been invited to join the super talented Design Team over at Ally Scraps! My term starts in August and goes for 6 months. I have already met some teriffic gals over there! They already have awesome products coming in from the new CHA releases, so check them out!

And there's more! The fabulous gals over at Gettin' Sketchy have invited me to be a part of their creative team...basically I'll be using Thorunn's beautiful sketches and designing some layouts for the blog. There's some fun challenges over there with great prizes. If you love sketches, be sure to check it out! Here are a couple I have done so far...

A Month in the Life...

of me! Yep, I'm participating in a super fun challenge over at Little Scrapbox. I'm journaling and taking pictures every day in July and doing LO's for each day. I have really enjoyed it so far and it's given me an opportunity to try out a new size of layout--12x6. I am really loving this size and will probably do some regular layouts like it in the future! Here are a couple of my layouts so far...

On the Go...

That's all it's been since the beginning of the month! I hope everyone had a happy 4th. There were not many places to go see fireworks around here because of the water shortage from the flooding (that just doesn't sound right!). We made our way to Sycamore for a great show. Tate had a blast this year! His favorite fireworks were the party poppers and when it came time for the big fireworks, he got all excited and hollered "Those are BIG party poppers!" Hilarious! Anyway, I have a lot of catching up to do here, so I will leave you with some fun 4th pics!

Lots of Rain and Flooding...

...and more rain on the way. In fact it's raining right now. I wish I could send some of this rain to those of you in the drought areas because I am sick and tired of it!

We got out to do some driving yesterday. We wanted to go look and see how high the lake was where we have some cows (about 8 miles from our house)...luckily, the cows were on the other side of the lake and away from this:

This is what we drove up to...

This is the side of the road that the lake is on...it's SUPPOSED to be clear back toward the darker set of trees...

A couple of pics of DH and DS near the water...gives you more of a reference on how wide/big this overflow is...it was about the length of a football field across and it was a long ways down!

It's things like this that makes me realize how truely AMAZING Mother Nature can be!
