It's the Feb kit over at My Scrapbook Nook and it will be in my hot little hands in the next day or two! I'm so excited for my first kit and I am beyond thrilled at all the fun stuff that's in it! Prima, Prima, lots of Prima! Oh, and did I mention Prima?! Yowza! I can't wait to get started...I already have LOTS of fun ideas for this kit!

If you havn't already signed up for this awesome kit, you should hurry...these kits always sell out! You can sign up HERE...Get going...now! :)

It's Almost Time...

For the weekend birthday crop at Chasing Rainbows! I'll be spending the rest of my day today packing my scrap stuff, my clothes (Tate and I are staying the night with my mom to save some gas!), printing pics, making cookies and making sure the house is picked up before I leave early in the morning...As long as Brian doesn't decide to throw some big party while I'm gone (haha) the house should be in a decent order when I get home Saturday evening...besides the pile of dishes that I know will be left for me to do in the sink... :)

I think I have everything ready to go for the class I'm teaching on Saturday morning...that should be fun because Sarah (one of the store owners that moved to TX) is coming back for the weekend to help out! I can't wait to see her! You should go check out her blog by the way...she has some fantastic stuff she's been working on plus she always has great stories about life with 4 kiddos...did I mention 3 of them are triplets?! I don't know how she does it, but it sure looks like she has fun doing it! :)

So, we're having a name badge contest this weekend as well. Everyone that comes to the crop is supposed to make their own name badge and I finished mine up this morning. I love how it turned out! So, I will leave you with a pic:

I made it from scratch out of a plain old piece of chipboard. I got the rainbow part from my trusty Coluzzle circle template. I cut the piece of chipboard from it first, then went back and did each individual half cirlce with 5 different pieces of paper. Then I stuck them down and covered them with some coordinating Stickles glitter glue. I added my name with American Crafts Foam Thickers...I did it while the glitter glue was still wbet for some added adhesive. Then I just free-handed the clouds on chipboard. Well, I free-handed ONE cloud, cut it out, flipped it and traced it for the second. I painted them white (a few coats), drew some lines around them, stitched them on and painted some glitter glue over that. Then I made some holes for my 2 eyelets, put the eyelets on and strung a piece of ribbon through so it would just hang down from my neck. Easy peasy!

Have a fun weekend everyone! I know I will!

Lazy Day Saturday

Yep, I'm feeling pretty lazy today. I havn't done much of anything! Tate has finally been working on potty training for the last couple of weeks and he's been doing so great! I will be happy when we're done with diapers!

So, this next week will prove to be a pretty busy one! Next weekend is the big birthday crop at Chasing Rainbows and I'll be teaching a LO class on Saturday morning. It was kind of a last minute thing so I've been working hard to get some samples done the last 2 days. 4 down and 2 to go! We'll be working with the gorgeous My Mind's Eye Bungalow papers from their Bohemia 2 release. Here's what I've got so far:

We're also having a name badge decorating contest, so I need to get that finished up this week as well!

Then on the weekend of Feb 1st, we're having a Virtual Crop over at My Scrapbook Nook! There will be lots of fun challenges, games and amazing prizes! You can see all the details HERE. Some of the challenges are already posted so you can get an early start! I'll be working on my samples for my challenges this weeka nd next week...it should be lots of fun!

I also finished up another layout for my Febuary class at Chasing Rainbows. GOtta get 3 more done for that one! Space is very limited on that class...only have a couple spots left! Here's #3:

And here's a couple of extra LO's I put together just for the heck of it!

Brrr....It's Cold Today!

And windy! I miss the unseasonably warm temps we were having last weekend! And so does Tate...he had a blast riding his new Gator and 4-Wheeler that he got for Christmas! He got the 4-Wheeler from Santa and the Gator from Uncle Mark, Aunt Meredith, Cousin Ellie and Cousin Emma. He can't ever decide which one he wants to ride first, so he spends 5 minutes on one, then switches and goes back and forth. Here are a few pics:

And this is how he parks them when he wants to stand back and admire them! hehe

I've gotten a few projects done the last few days as well. Here are 2 layouts for my Feb. Class at Chasing Rainbows:

This one was made using the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Hey Sugar papers and the scalloped tag was made by me!

And yes...this next one has pics of me...I was just over 9 months old. I LOVE these pics!

I also got my DT kit the other day from AllyScraps and played with it last night. These new Junkitz Destinations papers are some of my new favorites! Click on the AllyScraps link to pick some up!

Challenge Projects

So Leah, the owner over at My Scrapbook Nook issued a couple of challenges for the "Phase 2" DT hopefuls...

One was a Valentine's Day card. For some reason cards really intimidate me, but I was pleasantly surprised at how mine turned out! I used a transparency as the base for the card and used my favorite Scenic Route Loveland papers. Here is the result:

Here's what it looks like laying flat with the inside pink part showing through:

The other challenge was a LO using "Today" as a starting point. The layout had to be about ourselves. Again, with the Scenic Route papers...I just can't get enough! Here's my layout:

The new DT will be announced on Saturday and I cannot imagine having to make that decision! With all the amazing, talented women over there, it will NOT be an easy choice. Either way, I have made some great new friends over there! Love you girls! I'm officially addicted to the Nook!

Have a great week!

Great Week In the Scrappy World!

Let's see...couple of great things so far this week! I made it to "Phase 2" of the Design Team process over at My Scrapbook Nook! Phase 2 ends on Jan 15th when the new DT will be announced. There is some serious competition over there! Those girls are super talented and I am SO honored to even be considered! You should go check it out...they have some GORGEOUS kits!

I also got an email yesterday from Layle over at Scenic Route. I was one of the lucky winners for the December Product Challenge, yippee! And what do I get for that you might be asking?? Well, mid-January they will be sending me some BRAND SPANKIN NEW goodies from their new Lynden line--a Winter CHA release that they havn't even shown on their site yet! I am SO excited to have some new goodies in my hot little hands!

I also sent in a submission for the Paper Trunk Design Team call. They have some really gorgeous papers and stamps! Here was one of my entries:

Anywho, hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! (I'll share some pics soon!) Have a great weekend!
