We got out to do some driving yesterday. We wanted to go look and see how high the lake was where we have some cows (about 8 miles from our house)...luckily, the cows were on the other side of the lake and away from this:
This is what we drove up to...
(That's the fence on the bottom of the pic)

This is the side of the road that the lake is on...it's SUPPOSED to be clear back toward the darker set of trees...

This is the other side of the road...

A couple of pics of DH and DS near the water...gives you more of a reference on how wide/big this overflow is...it was about the length of a football field across and it was a long ways down!

It's things like this that makes me realize how truely AMAZING Mother Nature can be!
Totally amazing. I'm in awe seeing these photos having gone through this very thing a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteYou can see some pretty graphic flood photos here -

our LSS and the entire town was completely covered 10 feet deep. It was terrible! Luckily they were able to save a lot of the product and find a new store near by to call their new home. (Scroll down on that site till you hit the flood pictures)
Mother Nature is, truly, amazing!
